Psychosocial Environment Evaluation – Hejre

Client: Dong Energy, Denmark

Backgroundnew project picture

The Hejre field is DONG Energy’s first HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) expansion and is the largest development project in the Danish sector of the North Sea in recent years. The development includes, the production platform and drilling of production wells, and an expansion of the oil terminal in Fredericia.

HFS were requested to perform a study to evaluate whether the recreational areas of the living quarters for the Hejre platform would safeguard and enhance a positive psychosocial environment and suggest changes where necessary.

Via a literature review and interviews with subject matter experts, HFS identified factors in the physical environment that can influence the psychosocial environment. Through a workshop with project and operations representatives, and in-house work, HFS then evaluated the proposed layout and furnishings for the Hejre living quarters and recommended changes and further work.

The deliverable constituted a report documenting the performance of the study and its results. HFS presented the study to the Danish Energy Agency on behalf of Dong Energy.

This work was performed by HFS’ Psychologists (Occupational and Environmental).
