HFS, established in 1988, is Scandinavia’s largest independent human factors consultancy. Its personnel include highly qualified professionals in the disciplines of human factors, user interface design, working environment and safety, industrial design, systems engineering, psychology and anthropometry. HFS was recently awarded by Achilles Joint Qualification Systems (JQS) with a Certificate of Qualification, confirming that HFS is a qualified supplier of products and services to the Oil Industry in Norway and Denmark.
What Do We Do?
HFS provides services throughout the design process, from the development of philosophies and goals, to analyses, research, design, operational evaluations and validation and verification. For example, we have performed and taught the CRIOP Method for validating control rooms and drillers’ cabins since the mid-90s, and led the development of European standards for user interfaces of self service systems.
